SAILING LEGENDS - THE PODCAST

Sailing Legends - The Podcast I started sailing for a living in '78. A long time ago...:) Actually back then there was not much living to be made in sailing, so to keep the wolves at bay I wrote for magazines around the world and spoke to any group that would listen and throw a few bucks into my hat. The world of professional sailing has changed; thankfully, and now most good sailors are able to feed their families. Not in the same way that Juan Soto has been able to since he signed a 15-year, $765 million deal with the New York Mets, but still enough to afford a decent phone and an occasional meal out.
Many sailors that started back in the '70s have stories to tell. How they got started. What inspired them to get off the couch and go and pursue their hopes and aspirations of making a living by doing something they love.
Sailing Legends - The Podcast will interview all of these sailors from the indomitable Sir Robin Knox Johnston, the first person ever to sail single-handed, non-stop around the world, to Skip Novak, someone who Brian has sailed over 60,000 miles with and who is now the most famous high latitude sailor of this generation. And hopefully Simon Le Bon, front man of the group Duran Duran. Brian sailed the Southern Ocean with Simon.
Stand by... the is going to take some time, but we will get there. Please sign up and you will get a message when the first one airs.
In the meantime if you like and appreciate independent thought and good writing please consider buying a coffee, or a beer, or chucking a few bucks into gofundme so that I can turn all my books into audio books and prepare for the Sailing Legends podcast. It all helps.
